This is my entry for the latest MattePaint.com challenge, Westeros Awaits, inspired by George R. R. Martin’s Game of Thrones universe. The piece, titled Sunset on House Mormont, showcases the abandoned, unfinished Mormont keep on Bear Island that Jorah Mormont had attempted to build for his wife. Located northwest of Winterfell, Bear Island is beautiful, but also icy, cold and remote. This piece shows House Mormont in the summer. I also created a cold, icy version.
